The times are always 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
It is held at the Chapter House (321 Elm St Westfield)
No appointments needed - just walk in.
This free service is headed by a dedicated volunteer, Albert Hoffman and is open to all residents of Westfield and Mountainside.
Blood Pressure is the force exerted against the bloods vessel walls when the heart pumps . It is a clue to the health of the heart and blood vessels. High Blood pressure ,sometimes called Hypertension ,is a condition in which blood is exerting too much pressure on the walls of the blood vessels. If this condition is not controlled, it can lead to stroke , kidney failure , heart attack or heart failure.
There are usually no symptoms that alert a person they have high blood pressure . The only way to positively know is to have your blood pressure checked . The American Red Cross offers blood pressure screenings to alert you if you are at risk . If you do have high blood pressure, please consult your doctor.
