Crystal Brinkman, Chairperson
Vacant , Disaster Coordinator
The Chapter has 24 hour x 7 day a week coverage.
Our Chapter's Disaster Services mission is to ensure local disaster planning, preparedness, community disaster educatiion, mitigation, and response that will provide the Westfield/Mountainside people with quality services in a uniform, consistent, and responsive manner. On a local and national level, we work together with government, business, religious and community organizations as well as other voluntary agencies. We partner with these agencies and organizations to identify resources and roles, share information, and find ways to ensure a coordinated and efficient response to any disaster that strikes.
The Chapter volunteers are trained in disaster services
and have developed response teams to be ready when needed.
In 2007 the Westfield/Mountainside Chapter responded to the
needs of six local families struck by disasters. The DAT team
has monthly meetings at the chapter house to ensure the readiness
of the disaster team. If you are interested in helping, contact
Crystal Brinkman at the chapter at (908) 232-7090.
Your local American Red Cross is ready and willing to help in any disaster whether natural or man-made. To all of those who have supported the American Red Cross Disaster Services... Thank You!
